Nanjing Medical University is a college in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China. It was made in 1934 in Zhenjiang, but migrated to Nanjing in 1957.The college has two primary branches: Wutai and Jiangning, both of which have international student apartments. Undergrad projects are held at the Jiangning District grounds. The Watai grounds are the core for postgraduate education and scientific research. In 2014, Academic Ranking of World Universities positioned it between 401-500 in the world and 26-32 in China. It was one of the first colleges to offer English taught Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program, as endorsed by the Ministry of Education of the Peoples Republic of China (MOE). The National Jiangsu Medical College was established in 1934 and was renamed the Nanjing Medical College in 1957 when it moved to Nanjing. It was among the first medicinal colleges in China to offer six-year programs in 1962. In 1981 it was sanction to offer masters and doctoral degree programs. It was renamed Nanjing Medical University in 1993 and is presently among the top Chinese medical colleges. The school offers bachelors, masters, and Ph.d degree and post-doctoral examination programs. Its offices comprises of an autonomous school, Kangda College, and 16 secondary schools. NMU has more than 1,400 enrolled faculties, including 117 full professors and 175 associate professors. There are 812 supervisors of the master’s project and 185 supervisors of the doctoral programs.
